How To Play AVC Converted Files On Your Sony PSP
Playing AVC Converted/Encoded Files
Some people have been claiming that they can’t play some files they downloaded here on their PSP.
If you can’t play the files on your PSP and get that “unsupported data” error on your PSP, then you might not be putting the files on the “right” folder on your PSP.
Some files on this site are AVC converted files, and they CAN’T be played just by putting the files on your “VIDEO” folder on your PSP memory stick.
What you’ve got to do is create a folder named “MP_ROOT” (without the quote) on the root of your memory stick, and then create another folder named “101ANV01″ (without the quote) inside the MP_ROOT folder that you just created earlier. All the AVC-encoded files you downloaded from our site will go here.
So it’d be like this (MS is your memory stick drive): MS:\MP_ROOT\101ANV01\<filename>.MP4
How To Recognize AVC Converted/Encoded Files?
Normally the filename of AVC converted files start with “MAQ”, followed by five numbers. Something like this: MAQ00001.MP4. So if what you downloaded from us starts with “MAQ”, do the above instructions in order to get the video to work on your PSP.
What if I still can’t play the files?
Make sure the file is named properly according to its original standard, which is MAQxxxxx.MP4 where x is numbers.
Other probability is the file is corrupted, so make sure your download is finished properly.
